Of course, everyone has weird dreams occasionally. One of the weirdest I’ve ever had was that I was playing basketball and I was the star. I was gliding up and down the floor, weaving through defenders, making lay-up shots like nothing. She shoots, she scores, the crowd goes wild. I’ve often wondered what it meant. Well, I found this site on-line (of course, there would be a site, right?) Dream Moods. This is their interpretation, “To dream that you are playing basketball, indicates that you will need the cooperation and assistance of others in order to achieve your goals. Perhaps you are standing in the way of your own progress and need to ask for help.” Uh, okay.
Another dream I’ve had, more than once, is that I am speaking a foreign language fluently. It’s usually Spanish, but no matter. I’ve even wondered if I am really getting it right in my dreams. So, Dream Moods has this to say about it, “To hear or speak a foreign language in your dream, indicates a message from your unconscious that you do not yet understand. Alternatively, you may not be making yourself clear to others.”
A recurring nightmare I have involves being caught in a tornado, usually inside a house. According to Dream Moods, “To see a tornado in your dream, suggests that you are experiencing some extreme emotional outbursts and temper tantrums. Is there a situation or relationship in your life that may be potentially destructive? To dream that you are in a tornado, signifies that you are feeling overwhelmed and out of control. You will be met with a series of disappointments for the next week or so. Your plans will be filled with complications. ”
Seriously, do these sound like Tarot card readings to you? How about maybe I’m just afraid of tornadoes. Duh. If you check out your dreams on Dream Moods, and want to share, I think we’d all like to hear their interpretation.
