My memory!

Have you ever made a really strange mistake, and accidentally walked around with $3,300 in cash in your purse for three whole days without noticing?  Because that’s what happened to me this week.  I mixed up my LASIK and dental appointments.  By the way, I can see really clearly now!  But my teeth are still a mess.

I doubt I’ve ever had $3300 in cash. I may not have ever had that much money at once in any form.

I should mention here that they were offering a thirty-dollar discount for cash payments, that’s why I did it. Because I’m that stingy. (Yes, that’s right – I’d rather risk being mugged to save a mere 30 bucks.)

BTW, LASIK is cheap in Japan, and the aftercare is excellent! There is a lifetime guarantee. I even have the option of free cornea transplant, should it go horribly wrong. I only wish I could say the same about the standard of dentistry here.

Hahahaha! That’s MY kind of stingy!

How can they give a lifetime guarantee for LASIK? What exactly do they guarantee? Very strange, this claim.

According to the glossy brochure, it means that any follow-up care is free, for the rest of my life, and that if my eyesight starts to lapse again, they will remedy the situation as necessary.

Although now that you mention it … LASIK has only been around for a couple of decades, so how do they know that it works for life????
